
Clara Riccucci
The young clarinettist Clara Riccucci has performed as a concert artist and chamber musician in international events including Lucerne Festival, Pharos Chamber Music Festival in Cyprus, Hirzenberg Festival, Rigi Musiktage, Rome Chamber Music Festival, Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Museo del Teatro Alla Scala in Milan performing with leading artists such as Daishin Kashimoto, Boris Brovtsyn, Diemut Poppen, Enrico Pace, Alexander Chaushian, Alexander Kobrin.
She made her KKL debut in Lucerne as a soloist, performing Nielsen’s concerto with the Luzerner Sinfonieorchester and Michael Sanderling conducting to critical acclaim.
Particularly interested in an orchestral career, Clara has collaborated as First Clarinet with the Orchestra del Teatro dell’Opera di Roma, Orchestra del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Turku Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestra della Toscana, CityLight Orchestra Lucerne under conductors such as Zubin Mehta, Daniele Gatti, Andres Orozco-Estrada, Markus Stenz, Leif Segerstam, Kolja Blacher.
She was first clarinet in the Orchestra del Teatro Olimpico in Vicenza and the Orchestra Giovanile Italiana.
She is the winner of the Note di Talento, Dienemann Clarinet Competition, Edwin Fischer competitions, the First Prize at the Crescendo Competition and the Riviera Etrusca Competition, the Rahn Kulturfonds merit scholarship and the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole.
Clara began studying the clarinet under the guidance of her father Giovanni Riccucci, graduating with honours from the Scuola di Musica di Fiesole, and is currently perfecting her technique in Rome with Calogero Palermo. He studied with Alessandro Carbonare in Rome, at the Lübeck Musikhochschule with Reiner Wehle and at the Hochschule Luzern completing a Master Performance with Paolo Beltramini and Master Soloist with Robert Pickup. He has attended master classes with Sabine Meyer, Yehuda Gilad, Rossana Rossignoli and Enrico Baroni.
