Toni Nežić

Toni Nezic was born in Pula 28.6.1991. He has obtained his Masters Degree in Opera Singing at the Academy of Music in Zagreb in 2016. Already during his studies he had performed roles at the Croatian National Theatre – Claudio, Agrippina (Haendel), “Vatroslav Lisinski” Concert Hall- Bartolo, “Le Nozze di Figaro” (Mozart); Japanese Ambassador, “Le Rossignol” (Stravinsky), and theatre Mala scena – Antonio,” Le Nozze di Figaro” (Mozart); Policeman, “Amelia al ballo” (Menotti). He was a member of the Academy of the Vienna State Opera during the 2016/2017 season. He made his professional soloist debut at the Wexford Festival Opera as Sparafucile in Verdi’s “Rigoletto” and un Mujich in Alfano’s “il Risurrezione”. He performed the role of Zuniga in Bizet’s “Carmen” at the Berlin Opera Academy and all bass roles in Mozart’s” Zauberflöte” at the Weimar Lyric Opera Studio. Mr. Nezic has also collaborated with the chorus and orchestra of the Croatian National Television, performing as a soloist in “Nelson Messe” by Haydn, and “Liturgy” by Stevan Mokranjec. Future engagements include Don Pasquale and Marco in Wexford Festival Opera’s productions of “Don Pasquale” and “il Bravo” respectively. He will also perform as a soloist at the Music Biennale Zagreb performing “Salut au Monde” by Milko Kelemen.
