Giacomo Serra
Having graduated from the two-year specialised cello course at the Bologna Conservatory with Maestro Antonio Mostacci, Giacomo Serra then graduated with top marks and honours in 2016 from the two-year specialised singing course at the same conservatory with Maestro Monica Bacelli and Maestro Gregory Bonfatti.
He combined the study of singing with the cello with Michele Andalò and then specialised in the baroque and lieder repertoire with Monika Bürgener at the Hochschule für Musik in Würzburg and with William Matteuzzi.
He participated in masterclasses with maestros Gloria Banditelli, Richard Barker and Alfonso Antoniozzi.
He has sung as a solo bass in several symphonic and chamber music concerts for important festivals such as the Aperto festival in Reggio Emilia and at the Municipal Theatre in Ferrara, the Pietre che Cantano festival and the ExNovo festival at the Sale Apollinee of the La Fenice Theatre.
He collaborates with professional ensembles such as the Collegium Vocale Gent (dir. Philippe Herreweghe), Zero Vocal Ensemble, Gächinger Cantorey, Ghislieri Choir.
He has collaborated with the choir of the Teatro Carlo Felice in Genoa, the Teatro Petruzzelli in Bari and the Theatre Royale de La Monnaie in Brussels.
