The UNIMI Orchestra will open the event on April 4th in the Aula Magna, at 5 p.m., with a performance of Béla Bartók‘s Romanian Folk Dances for string orchestra, conducted by Leonardo Benini.
This will be followed by the launch of the VUMM, Virtual UniMi Museum, the first highlight of the celebrations: thanks to the digitisation of the University’s entire cultural heritage, it offers everyone the opportunity to visit buildings, museums and collections in an innovative way.
At the end of the presentation, some soloists of the Orchestra will perform pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach next to the works in the Athenaeum by Lucio Fontana, Jannis Kounellis and Mikayel Ohanjanyan, as well as those in the Rectorate, which will be open to visit on this occasion.
