Founded in 2018, within the walls of the “Guido Cantelli” Conservatory of Novara, the Canaja Brass Quintet brings together the passion and ambition of five musician friends, to create an ensemble capable of enhancing the brass instruments and their varied repertoire and captivating, in the chamber music field. Finalists of the Premio delle Arti in the Chamber Music section in 2021, for years Canaja have also been committed to commissioning new music from young Italian composers, then proposing it to the public, alongside the great literature written for this group. Particularly appreciated by critics for their harmony and the great energy they are able to transmit, in the name of sincere and contagious irony.
They offer varied and lively programmes, embracing different musical styles distant in time and cultures, each time accompanying the audience on a sound journey between places and emotions.
