On 14 May 2019 at 9 pm, in the Great Hall of La Statale University, the Artistic Director and Principal Conductor of the Siberian Symphony Orchestra, DMITRY VASILIEV conducts a Russian programme that features MICHAIL GLINKA’s Valse fantaisie and Kamárinskaja, and DMITRIJ ŠOSTAKOVIČ’s Cello concerto No. 1 op. 107 , soloist the young chinese talent JIAPENG NIE. Russian too is the young composer – NIKITA SUKHIK (1985) – who wrote specially for this concert a World premiere, Two Pieces for orchestra: Nymphae and Scherzo.
