On January 25, 2022, at 8:30 p.m., the Orchestra UniMi will perform in the Aula Magna of the University of Milan. The multifaceted conductor Andreas Gies, 2019 winner of the “Premio Nazionale delle Arti” (Miur), alongside violinist Daniela Cammarano, first violin of the Orchestra UniMi, will perform Bruch’s Violin Concerto No. 1 in G minor op. 26. Gies will then lead the Orchestra on the notes of Schubert’s Fourth Symphony and in the premiere performance, commissioned by the Orchestra UniMi, of Il nome del luogo si chiama mondo, sulla via della scomparsa of Israeli composer Rachel Beja (1984), winner of the 2018 Milan Conservatory Composition Prize.
The concert will be preceded, at 7:15 pm, by a conversation between the artists and Giuseppina Manin.
