Lecture: Angelo Paccagnini, the indipendent utopian

Monday, Dec. 12, 2022, 5:30 p.m. – Sala Crociera di Giurisprudenza (Via Festa del Perdono 7)

The meeting will remember Angelo Paccagnini (1930-1999) on the occasion of the publication of the monograph on the musician edited by the NoMus Association. Paccagnini trained at the Milan Conservatory: he edited numerous editions and revisions of early music and from 1958 worked with Bruno Maderna and Luciano Berio at the Studio di Fonologia Musicale of the RAI in Milan, of which he was also director. He also established, at the Milan Conservatory, one of the first chairs of electronic music. In the 1990s he collaborated with our LIM in the Department of Computer Science on musical and multimedia projects, promoting, within our University, initiatives to make music together: and it was on these experiences that the Orchestra UNIMI was later established.
