In July, we will hold – in collaboration with the Municipality of Gargnano and SLAM – Language Center of our University – three concerts in Gargnano, on Lake Garda, in different formations:
July 2, Sala Civica A. Castellani, 11:00 a.m.
Musical intervention during the Opening Ceremony of the International Courses of Italian Language and Culture.
The String Orchestra, conducted by Andreas Gies, will perform Mozart’s Divertimento No. 1 K136, Barber’s Adagio and Bartók’s Romanian Dances.
July 6, St. Francis Church, 6:30 p.m.
The String Quintet, composed of Federico Silvestro and Christine Champlon (violins), David Arienti (viola), Francesco Tanzi (cello) and Stefano Morelli (double bass), will perform Mozart’s Symphony in G major K 525 “Eine kleine Nachtmusick” and Dvórak’s Quintet No. 2 op. 77.
July 20, Giardini di Palazzo Feltrinelli, 6:30 p.m. (in case of bad weather, the concert will be held at Sala Castellani)
The Wind Octet composed of Luca Tognon and Lorenzo Alessandrini (oboes), Marco Sorge and Lycia Gialdi (clarinets), Anna Maria Barbaglia and Caterina Carrier Ragazzi (bassoons), Brunello Gorla and Simona Schena (horns), will perform transcriptions for Harmonie from Mozart’s operas Don Giovanni and Die Entführung aus dem Serail.
Free admission for all concerts.
The Wind Octet concert will be repeated on July 23, at 7:30 p.m., at the Corte d’Onore of Palazzo Sormani (Corso di Porta Vittoria 6) as part of the “Teatro Menotti in Sormani” festival.
