On March 29 Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli conducts Giovanni Gnocchi and the Orchestra UniMi

The Orchestra UniMi’s symphonic season will resume on Tuesday 29 March, at 8.30 pm, in the Aula Magna of the Università Statale. Cellist Giovanni Gnocchiand Umberto Benedetti Michelangeli – the established conductor at the head of the Mantova Chamber Orchestra from 1984 to 2007 and recipient of the “Franco Abbiati” award from Italian music critics – will be on stage with the Orchestra. The programme includes Haydn’s Cello Concerto No. 1 in C major and Haydn’s Symphony No. 95 in C minor, in addition to Mozart’s Symphony No. 29 in A major K 201.

The concert will be preceded at 7.15pm by a conversation between the artists and Susanna Franchi.
