On Tuesday 9 May 2017 at 9:00 pm, in the great hall of the University of Milan La Statale, the Australian Daniel Smith will conduct for the first time the Orchestra UniMi.
The program will be opened by the Concerto for Alto Saxophone, op. 109, E-flat major, composed in 1933 by ALEKSANDR GLAZUNOV. Soloist, the young Jacopo Taddei, winner of the Milan Conservatoire Prize 2015.
The usual contemporary piece will be the triptych for strings Action/Passion/Illusion, composed in 1993 by ERKKI-SVEN TÜÜR (1959), one of the most interesting living composers from Estonia.
The famous Serenade op. 48 C major by ČAJKOVSKIJ will close the concert.
