On November 3rd Alfonso Scarano conducts the Orchestra UniMi and Clarissa Bevilacqua

On Tuesday 3rd November, at 8.30 pm, the concert initially scheduled for 7th April will take place in the Aula Magna of the University of Milan. On the podium, for the first time, the principal conductor of the Thailand Philharmonic Orchestra ALFONSO SCARANO, while the violin soloist will be the young winner of the International Mozart Competition 2020 and Cape Symphony International Violin Competition, CLARISSA BEVILACQUA.

The programme is a tribute to the late romanticism between past and future: it opens with the overture “The Hebrides” by Mendelssohn; continues with the Violin Concerto op. 35 by Tchaikovsky, where moments of great lyricism alternate with enthralling popular quotes; and it ends with Schönberg’s Verklärte Nacht, which represents a link between the music of the nineteenth century and everything that, in the course of the twentieth century, will upset its canons.

Access to the concert will take place only through a specific registration with seats pre-assignment; we will communicate the link a week before the concert. The previous registration for the entire 20th season is no longer valid as it does not comply with anti-Covid regulations.
