On Tuesday 10 April at 9:00 pm in the great hall of La Statale University, STEFANO LIGORATTI will conduct the Orchestra UniMi in a program that suggests a journey into the Czech musical world through its two historically more representative composers – ANTONÍN DVOŘÁK (Nocturne Op. 40) and LEOS JANÁČEK (Suite for strings) – and a living composer from Prague, JIŘÍ GEMROT, of which the orchestra will perform, as italian premiere, Sentence (1985).
A non-Czech composer who had however something to do with Prague is MOZART, of which the program will propose the Piano Concerto KV 449, which belongs to a group of six concerts “to be sweaty” (Mozart wrote) composed in 1784 and represents the concert that introduces to Mozart’s compositional maturity. Soloist the young pianist FRANCESCO GRANATA (Milan Conservatory Prize 2016 and Paolo Mantegazza Prize 2017)
