'Our' "Pavane" on YouTube is the most clicked worldwide!

Our performance of Pavane pour one infante défunte by Maurice Ravel, conducted by Alessandro Crudele, is the most clicked on YouTube in the world!

The video, which has over 472.000 views, was filmed on November 30, 2010 at the opening concert of the 2010/2011 season, held at the Auditorium of Milan in Largo Mahler.

Also noteworthy is the number of extremely positive comments left by users, for example:

Wonderful. Thats the kind of art that makes me shiver and feel better, more introspective. Congratulations.

Quel formidable chef d’Orchestre! Finesse et sensibilité…

Mi piace molto l’interpretazione del maestro Alessandro Crudele. […]  L’orchestra è composita e solenne con gli ottoni di esordio prima e poi i flauti…l’arpa, i violini e l’assolo del flauto traverso. Virtuoso senza virtuosismi eppure struggente, quanta grazia!

The finesse of the wind section in particular here blows my mind! There’s a section where you can see two flutes playing the tune in octave unison but you can hardly hear it. Not only are the pair in tune pitch-wise but are so perfectly connected with regard to vibrato and style that they blend seamlessly. I have NEVER seen anything like it from a pair of flutes. Impressive! Of course, the rest of the orchestra was exquisite too.

Musique d’une forte intensité émotionelle… Quelle riche diversité des instruments dans cet ensemble orchestral…

Really beautiful and haunting piece, […] it is just like discovering wonderful little islands on a huge unknown ocean.
